Reign over ME

After losing his wife and kids in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Charlie (Adam Sandler) goes into a severe depression and retreats from the world. Luckily, he runs into his old college roommate, Alan (Don Cheadle), who feels sorry for his old friend and does his best to draw him back out.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT MOVIE!!!

I hope this move soon comes to Mexico so my friends and family can see it, simply because I learned through this move that you can duel indefenitly and not live.

Hope you will enjoy this move as much as I did!

When there is no Tacos around... Chimichangas!

Chimichanga
Filling:

3 lb. boneless shoulder chuck roast

salt and pepper

2 T. bacon drippings or vegetable oil

3 garlic cloves minced

1/2 C. chopped onion

1 C. beef stock

10 10-12 inch tortillas

Rub the salt and pepper on the roast. Saute in the oil. Add onion and garlic. Add the beef broth. Cover tightly and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours, until roast is very tender. Cool until you can handle the roast. With 2 forks shred the beef into small pieces.

Add the meat to the broth and add another 1/2 C. diced onion. Cook until all liquid is out of the beef. The beef should remain moist but not juicy.

Warm the tortilla enough so that you can roll it. Place 3/4 C. of the mixture in the center of the tortilla. Fold in sides and roll up. Secure with toothpicks.

To serve: Warm 5 inches oil in Dutch oven or other large pan to 375°F. Fry until golden brown, about 4 minutes. Drain.

Top with cheese, sour cream, tomatoes and salsa. Serve immediately.

Love is in the air!

Love is in the air. And this is a week to deepen our understanding of it, so we can experience more of it.

What we truly love about other people is the Light within. The more we focus on seeing a person's Light, the deeper we will care for them. The true purpose of love is to learn how to love the Light force of the Creator that is inside each of us.

Think about it. What is the thing that shakes, rattles, and rolls us more than anything? Love. For most of us, when we don't have love, we feel like we don't have anything at all. We're especially in touch with this emptiness when a relationship ends.

But the secret is, loving another person is not the goal - it is the means by which we achieve the goal. And again, the goal is to love the Light of the Creator, not only in another person, but in everything.

Think about your favorite place in nature. You know that peace that comes over you when you're absorbed in the beauty? Or the thrill of biting into your favorite dish? In those moments, you are extracting Light from those physical delights.

But here's the kicker - it's easy to connect to the Light in those moments because you're getting something out of the one percent and the 99 percent. The real test is when a co-worker pushes your buttons and you want to reach into their cubicle and choke them. Or when the parking attendant shows up one minute before you can put another quarter in the meter. Or when someone you trusted breaks your heart.

If you can manage to see the Light in these people - well, that's what is called true love.

A great exercise for this week is to focus on the Light within someone in your life. Work on doing something nice for them every day, by being considerate of their feelings. Avoid being irritable or self-centered with them. And when you notice negativity in their behavior, don't criticize them. Instead, make the effort to give them even more love.

In the big picture, this exercise is about creating unity with the Light. If you consistently work to keep your sharing basket full, so too will your heart be filled - with love, joy, confidence, and all things Light.

All the best,

Attitude

There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror,
and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?"
So she did
and
she
had
a
wonderful
day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
"H-M-M," she said,
"I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?"
So she did
and
she
had
a
grand
day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
"Well," she said,
"today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail."
So she did
and
she
had
a
fun,
fun
day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.
"YEA!" she exclaimed,
"I don't have to fix my hair today!"

Attitude is everything.

Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly.......
Leave the rest to God

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass........
It's about learning to dance in the rain...

Monterrey!

Hola Monterrey!
